Jewels of The Nile: Spring Update

Spring has sprung! Even with a few days of chill still upon us (here in the Central Virginia area) there is new life springing up all around. The dormant flowers are dormant no longer! In this update, I bring news of fresh life from our work among the people we serve. Below are two testimonies (among many) that we pray will encourage you. The Lord is moving!

These smiling faces are some of the prisoner’s wives that have received businesses. Hope for them to provide for their children was palpable. Below is one of the testimonies that shows God is not only providing them a way to support their children, but also changing how they see themselves and Him!

I would like to highlight two testimonies, among the many, of the micro-businesses that have been opened through the generosity of our supporters. The names have been changed to protect identities.

Mira has come to our gatherings for a few years during which I felt strongly that the Lord wanted to testify of His goodness by breaking off a poverty mentality; He was asking them to not only be receivers, but also givers. I challenged them with this word: “When you receive the packages of food and return to your villages, find someone in need and gift them with one of the items in your package. Bless them, not with what you least like, but something that you DO like. And throughout the year, even if you only have a grain of rice, cut it in half and give to another in need.”

Mira took this to heart. The pastor over these women could not wait to tell me her testimony. He found a need in the community of prisoner’s wives. There was a woman with small children that had NO MATTRESSES, they were sleeping on the floor. He sent out 160 emails seeking someone that may be able to help. Mira, he said, was the only one that responded. She had two mattresses. She shared one with a child and her other children shared the second. She thought, “I can give away one and we can just pack into the other.” The Lord saw her generosity. A week or so later, someone offered her a BRAND NEW MATTRESS. When I heard this testimony I thought of how good the Lord is! Much to my utter surprise, the pastor said, “Pastor Sherrie…she found someone that had a greater need and GAVE THEM THE NEW MATTRESS!” Shortly after that, her business became more successful! She learned that she cannot out-give God. Through her testimony, others have been encouraged to change their view of themselves and their Generous Heavenly Father!

This is Rhema. She, a gifted seamstress, was in great need to support her and her children. Her desire was to make puppets of all sizes for churches in their ministry among children. We gifted her with a sewing machine and various types of fabrics and material. She began immediately making puppets for a local church; word began to spread throughout Egypt. She now has a WAITING LIST of clients. Friends, the Lord is confirming His Word. HE IS NOT forsaking these women and their children. Like Hagar in her time of need, HE IS THE GOD WHO SEES!!!

We are already making plans for our next trip this year. From the moment we land to when we return, these trips are completely packed! Prayer is needed and greatly welcomed for strength, endurance, and anointing from the Lord. This years trip includes:

At-Risk Girl Camps in Minya and Assuit: Our target is 200 girls in each camp. We minister to them through worship, teaching, individual prayer, and each girl receives a parting dowry gift. Our ministry partners on the ground identify girls that would benefit from a micro-business. This is usually due to being taken out of school and needing to work to help support the family. By providing a business, we reduce the risk posed to these young girls that would otherwise be hired by men that target many of them for conversion to Islam. Providing businesses also reduces the risk of girls being kidnapped, forcibly converted and unable to return to their families.
Prisoner’s Wives Gatherings in Minya and Assuit: We are able to reach approximately 100 of these women in each location. They are led in worship, prayer, receive the Word, and we provide ministry time by our team. Each woman is gifted with a small financial gift and a large package of food staples which include canned meats, rice, pasta, flour, spices, etc.. Our partners on the ground also find candidates that have the skill and ability to run micro-businesses. Our desire is to not only “Give a Fish”, but also “Teach to Fish”. We have been met with great success in this model of providing for spiritual as well as physical needs.
Women Church Planters: For the last two years we have met with women that are church planters in some of the most difficult communities in Egypt. These communities are considered “ghettos”. In my previous update, I shared the difficulty that they face and how God is meeting them in amazing ways – including the gift of healing moving through them. We will continue to strengthen, encourage and empower this group of women who are brave heroes of the faith. They travel far distances to meet with us. They are hungry for more of the Lord and for prayer.
Widows and the Poor: We continue to gather approximately 400 widows and the poor. They come for worship, teaching and ministry. There are so many that struggle with the inflation in Egypt which is at an all time high. We gift each person with a small financial gift in addition to ministering to their soul and their bodies.
Pastors & Their Wives: We host pastors and their wives from the region. This gives each of them opportunity to receive personal ministry as well as meet and encourage other leaders in Egypt. This has been a personal highlight as, after the meetings, we spend time fellowshipping and praying together. Quite often it is a time where we are able to prophesy and bring encouragement and often confirmation that gives them the ability to stand in difficult situations.

The total for this trip is $14,500.

Additional funds received will enable us to plant more micro-businesses. The cost to establish each business is between $350 – $400. This is a one-time cost to launch the business. Each person receiving a business is trained with business skills in budgeting, restocking, etc. so the business becomes self-sustained. At present, we have established a little over 250 micro-businesses.

Dear Friends,

I want to thank you for your prayer and giving last year to Jewels of The Nile. Through your prayers and generosity we were able to serve close to 400 widows, approximately 380 at-risk girls, and about 100 prisoners wives – many of whom have young children. THANK YOU.

Egypt update: It is a difficult task to convey the hard environment, the lack, and risk that many that we minister to face on a daily basis because it is outside our experience in this nation. I remember the first trip to Egypt in 2017, whatever assumptions I formed over the years through books and movies were quickly challenged as I met the people and walked the streets. To be sure, there are many beautiful places, but behind those places a different Egypt exists…and it is there that the Lord has asked us to go.

It is one of my greatest delights to spend time with these young girls. In between sessions, our team spends time speaking with and praying with each them. Often, their beautiful smiling faces are replaced with the tears of a broken heart, or very difficult situations that they would only share with someone outside their family and social circles. It is an honor to serve them and bring the light of Jesus into their lives and hope for a better future.

This year we will travel in early June and interest by others, including worship leaders and social workers have asked to join the team to pray and minister to these precious “Jewels”. I am convinced that the Lord’s hand is on many of these girls and, as they continue to grow in Jesus, He will raise them up to reach many in their generation. Thank you for your prayers for them.

This is one of our girls camps. In this session I was teaching on how to have a quiet time with the Lord. I was amazed at the response. For some, it was like breathing air for the first time. Many carried a distant view of God. They were introduced to the Approachable God.

This note was given to one of leaders in Egypt. It was from one of the girls at our camps. I challenged them to meet Jesus every morning for at least one month for TEN minutes. The note was translated: “I love you very much Sherry. I give Juses (Jesus) 10 minet everyday.” My heart melts…..

About 90% of the girls stood up and responded to taking this challenge. I am now finishing up a daily “Time With Jesus” devotional to distribute this summer thanks to a wonderful woman named Melissa who heard about this work from a friend. She put together 365 scriptures – one for each day. I had those scriptures translated into Egyptian and am finishing up the “How to Use This Book” section to be translated. We have a friend in Egypt who runs a printing shop which will be much more economical than having it printed here in the states and paying for additional luggage (and weight to lug around). If all goes well, we will print approximately 400 books for distribution. (More if we can!)

Girls received comforters as a parting gift after the camps. These gifts typically become part of a dowry. Culturally, when a young man and young woman plan to marry, it is the responsibility of the groom-to-be to secure living quarters (house, apartment) and the bride-to-be is responsible to furnish the inside. These girls truly come from practically nothing. When we asked what would bless them, it was with housewares. In the past, your generosity has allowed us to gift them with pots and pans, bed sheet sets, bathroom towel sets and this year, comforters. May the Lord continue His work among these special “daughters of Hagar”. May Holy Spirit continue to draw them, meet them, and comfort them as they grow and flourish.

Had opportunity to preach and prophesy among the widows and the poor. Our team on the ground gathered from multiple villages those with the greatest need. Jesus met many physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. GOD SEES!

When we called for those that wanted to know Jesus more and allow Him to touch them emotionally, spiritually or for healing, many ran to the front. The hunger among those that are aware of their need is astounding. May God continue to move among them and show Himself strong.

Our work continues to be among the “least of these”. We are very blessed by the cooperation of local leaders who know those in the most remote villages. They delight in traveling from village to village and bringing those quite often forgotten by the society in which they live. God does not forget! HE SEES!

Here I am with Noshy, He is one of the leaders that work with prisoners wives and their children. He was so excited to tell me of the successes of the businesses we distributed among this population.

These are some of the women whose husbands are incarcerated that received businesses. The woman in pink had an amazing testimony. I speak to them often as seeing themselves as givers, no only receivers. There was a need for a mattress for one of the other women, Noshy told me he set out 160 emails to his network. Only this woman responded. She had two mattresses for her and her children. She was the only one to offer. She gave away one of her mattresses and her and her children all piled into one mattress. A week later, someone offered her a brand new mattress. She remembered the message and gave the NEW mattress to someone else that had none. The business we gave her began to prosper and is now successful. God is not just interested in providing for needs, He also wants changed hearts. This precious woman has seen the faithfulness of God when we trust Him and follow His ways.

On my trips in 2023 and 2024, I met a group of women that work in what is considered the “ghettos” of Egypt. As a foreigner (especially a white woman), I would be unable to travel to these areas. So, the partners I work with in Egypt brought women who are church planters and servants to where I was staying. I met with them in 2023 with an interpreter and asked them three things.

I asked them for their name, location and the top three things that they face in their work. There were between 20 and 25 each of the last two trips that I met with them. One by one they shared. The areas in which they live are considered ghettos. The women gathered represented 5 “ghettos” where Orthodox Christians, Evangelical Christians and Muslims live side by side. In Egypt, when you are born, you are classified by your parents religion. You are Christian or Muslim. There is a small portion that comprise other religions – but what you are born into YOU ARE. So a large portion of those considered Christian may be on the roles, but only know the culture of a Christian, not necessarily Jesus, the living Son of God. The women I met with were so precious, but also weighed down and sad…overwhelmed in their work to serve. One by one they told me that many of the “Christian” husbands were bound by drug addiction or alcohol and many do not work enough to support their habits nor their family. Some cause their wives to prostitute themselves to support their bondages. And, because there is a stigma towards girls and women, it is not unusual for a father to give or sell his daughter to the Muslim community where she is “used for about 30-45 days” then put onto the streets. Because it is a shame/honor culture, families do not bring their daughters back into the home. My heart completely shattered as I heard these stories. I cannot go there, but THEY can. They also said that there is much sickness and disease. I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to minister to each of them, speak to them of the power of God, and lay hands on them to receive the gifts of healing and wisdom and the revelation of the knowledge of God. Last year I gathered with them again. The woman I am pictured with is one of the leaders among them. Their countenances was completely different. God was ministering through them and they were filled with testimonies. My new friend (above…name withheld) was smiling and she told me that as the women prayed over people for healing, the people were not only HEALED by the power of God, but they were personally healed as they prayed! God WILL DO IT-AND HE DID! I look forward to meeting with them again this year.

It seems right to the Lord for me and the Jewels of the Nile team to work among these various populations of young girls and women. His desire is to empower them by the Spirit and to assist them in practical ways.

I will be sending a video with pictures of some of the OVER 225 micro-businesses that have been established among the at-risk girls and their families, the prisoners wives, the widows and, through the generosity of a businessman that travelled with us last year, pastors wives – we are seeing people come alive in Jesus and unlocked by His Spirit, to make a difference in the world around them. This year, we will be returning in June as the work increases. Continue to pray and support this work as we see Egypt fulfill her destiny and as we see the day of the Lord’s return draw ever closer!

March 2024 – Quick Update, What’s Ahead

It’s been too long since I have written an update. My world has been in a constant swirl since 2019 when MAPS came to Richmond and our house of prayer and ME became part of the MAPS Global world. I am sharing some highlights, testimonies and what’s ahead!

When MAPS came to Richmond, there was roughly 8 of us on staff. I was asked to be the VP of Strategic Relations. In essence, I introduced MAPS to Richmond and Richmond to MAPS. It was both a joy and pleasure to introduce MAPS leadership to the beautiful pastors, and ministry leaders that God has given as gifts to this city.

Since that time, we have grown out of our building in Scotts Addition and have now moved into a beautiful campus in Ginter Park on the Northside of our fair city. Along with the move, we changed the name of our prayer room from the Richmond In’tl House of Prayer to the Global Prayer Room. For those unfamiliar with MAPS Global, we are a training, sending organization that focuses on the unreached and unengaged in the 10/40 window. The Lord has enabled us to establish, not only our headquarters here, but we currently have 3 additional bases in Eurasia, the Middle East and the Levant. For security purposes the exact locations are not disclosed. I now function as the MAPS Global Advisor for Prayer and the Prophetic. EGYPT – Quick Update

I have continued the work in Egypt which began in 2015. The work has expanded to speaking at Churches, at pastors gatherings, meetings with widows, prisoners wives and their children, and holding camps for at-risk girls. Among the widows, at-risk girls and prisoner’s wives, we have established over 180 micro-businesses which have been a great success. In addition, last year I had opportunity to meet and pray with 20 women who work in some of the most difficult and oppressive villages in Upper Egypt. Their faith challenged me. North Africa and Egypt!

Until All See and Sing of The Worth of Jesus

NORTH AFRICA

In April I will be headed to North Africa as part of a 50 hour prayer event across 7 regions in the 10/40 window. Teams of musicians, singers and intercessors will be traveling to North Africa, East Africa, the Levant, the Middle East, the Himalayas and Eurasia and United Arab Emirates. The team I am traveling with is breaking into some difficult territory, but the word of the Lord to us is that the enemy will SEE RED. (As in the blood of Jesus). We have spoken to leaders of sending organizations and the country are going to in North Africa has been hard. We sense the hand of the Lord on us to break in to what is considered some of the hardest and darkest areas because, for God, there is NO DARKEST AND HARDEST. Please pray. In June I will be headed back to Egypt. From my first trip 2017 the Lord has given me great favor and open doors. I work with a local Egyptian pastor and his associate. My main focus on this trip is the WOMEN and AT-RISK girls. Last year, in one of the meetings there were 300 widows and the poor. It was a little overwhelming. But the Lord was faithful to give me a word for them about making a choice. Do they want to continue to eat the bread of affliction or do they want the Bread of Life! We were able to serve them with some resources, but the greater need is them knowing and seeing Jesus!

We were also able to host over 350 girls between our camp in Minya and in Assuit. In one of the meetings I shared about my daughter, who went to be with the Lord last June and was unable to fulfill many of her hopes and dreams. With tearful eyes I urged them to know and follow Jesus as He is the holder of a better destiny for them. Ninety-five percent of those girls gave their life to the Lord that day!

It is in this environment that we began Goats for Girls (and other businesses). It started with goats. Providing families with alternative ways to secure a living without sending their girls to other locations, thus risking them daily. In the areas where I work, quite often the girls are taken out of school in the 6th or 7th grade and they are sent to work to help support the family. The employment available is usually at shops with those of the predominate religion (Mu*l*m – security). Quite often, the girls work in these shops and are invited to the owners home. Once there, they are kept there, identity cards issued with Mu*sl*m identification, and the parents then have great difficulty retrieving their daughters. I have personally sense pictures of over 500 Christian girls abducted. This is why it is important to provide these poor families with businesses they can work from home and decrease the opportunity for abduction.

It started with goats and has now grown to over 180 micro-businesses among the girls, the poor, and the prisoners wives. This provides an alternative way to for the girls to work that is safer for them. I have met with some of the parents who have lost their girls in this way, it is heartbreaking. Consider helping us in this vital work. We work with local pastors who identify families of these girls and they gather them from various villages and bring them to our camps where they hear the good news of Jesus, receive prayer and counseling. Many girls have been returning each year and are now asking questions about the Holy Spirit and the gifts. We are working on discipleship videos to provide them. I believe these young girls will be part of a mighty outpouring of His Spirit in their country and beyond!

Each year, I raise funds to hold these camps and meetings. We are only limited to the amount of girls, widows and prisoners wives, by the amount of donations we receive each year. This year, we would like to take resources to host these groups, which will be held in two cities in Upper Egypt. These women/girls come from multiple villages and are brought to camps and meetings by local partner pastors. For each girl, it is approximately $75 USD for each girl to be hosted at the 2 days camps and $375 to provide a business for her and her family.

We host approximately 350 girls in two cities and our partners on the ground vet which families have the most need for businesses.

Needs:

We still need $12,000 for all programs with at-risk girls, prisoners wives and their children, and widows.

$3,750 for 10 businesses.

Total: $15,750.

Pray Above The Opposing Sound

Below is a dream encounter I had in February of 2018. I had actually forgotten about the encounter, however, while perusing some of the many blog drafts I have written, I came across it. As I read, my spirit began to stir. This encounter and the word the Lord released to me in 2018 is more vital now then it was back in 2018. This is a NOW word and I pray that it will stir you and cause you to RISE ABOVE THE OPPOSING SOUND! I am posting below, with a few spelling corrections, the original post. May the Holy Spirit open our eyes to His Kingdom ways and may we love His Kingdom more than the Kingdom of men.

—–DREAM ENCOUNTER – 2/15/2018

I was walking into our ministry building in Scotts Addition in Richmond, Virginia. I noticed all the lights were out except for light emanating from a video playing on a screen in the stage area. The inside of our space was far larger than in reality. The second floor was shaped like the inside of a coliseum and it was PACKED with people from every race. The Spirit had me specifically notice those of African American descent and those that were sent from Africa to labor with our heavenly King’s agenda for this nation. My attention was drawn to the video again. It was a 6-10 minute inspirational message like you would see during a church service to encourage stewardship, serving, evangelism, or any number of topics which highlight certain aspects of the Christian faith. This particular message was on the importance of congregational intercessory prayer. Its intent was to stir up a vision for, and attendance at, this vital ministry. I noticed, however, that the video was looping over and over.

Instead of picking up the microphone and stopping the looping video, I walked across the room and fell asleep under some steps. When I woke up the video was still looping. I shined a flashlight up into the Coliseum seating area and all the seats were empty. There were still some people in the lower portion I realized that the video had gone on too long and people were leaving. I jumped up and went into the kitchen. People were warmly hugging each other before exiting. I walked up to an older African American woman. She was very nicely dressed. Very prim and proper. Had a beautiful fur coat on (reddish with dark ends) and pearls. I went to her and said that I had not been well and I asked her to pray for me. She was so kind and said, “sure I will honey”. I remember her getting a few others as I turned to go back to the main area. I did not see the group pray for me -I’m sure they did – but I walked straight into the main area and immediately picked up up the mic and began to intercede. I could feel the partnership of heaven. SUDDENLY, as though a transparent sheet was laid over the entire metropolitan area, I saw EXACTLY what God was doing at that moment. Real Time. Not something for the future but current. As I began to pray according to what I saw I was instantly flanked with angels to the left and to the right. They were those prepared for the work of God, waiting for orders. I continued to pray in full partnership with heaven and knew exactly which angels to send where so I began to verbally release them. As I spoke, those I sent went to the exact place I sent them IMMEDIATELY. No hesitation.

As this continued, I heard a faint, yet growing, sound rising in the room. My initial thought was that someone had restarted the video from earlier. I wanted to stop it so it did not distract from praying. I went to the sound area and told the person in charge to turn the video off. I was quickly told that it was not on. We tried to figure out where the sound was coming from. We checked the sound system and saw two cassette holders with tapes inside. We took the first one completely out. The sound continued to grow. The second tape was not moving at all so it was not the cause. We could not identify the source of the sound and it continued to grow louder and louder. It sounded like many voices running over each other on a shortwave radio. Nothing distinct – chaotic. It was difficult to ignore. INSTANTLY the Lord spoke and said: “YOU MUST PRAY ABOVE THE OPPOSING SOUND”. The encounter ended.

SUMMARY:

FIRST AND FOREMOST IT IS A CALL TO NOT ALLOW THE ENDLESS DEBATE AND ISSUES OF OUR DAY DISTRACT US FROM THE KINGS AGENDA. Too many of us are praying in defense of what is going on in our nation. There is MUCH to pray about and I am not suggesting that we quit praying the headlines. However, there is a call to rise above the turmoil – the endless banter pervading almost every conversation which blankets news reports, social media and day to day conversation. The people of the Most High are marginalizing one another along social justice and political lines and it is eroding our ability to unify and pray together. In my dream/encounter, this opposing sound was soulish and inflamed by the demonic. It was specifically loosed in the prayer assembly to cause confusion, banter, and disagreement so that we would become ineffective in praying according to the strategic leadership of the Lord. This is not to say that we become inactive in standing up for what we believe is right, however, heaven’s perspective is being compromised in the fray. We must learn to pray above the growing roar of anger, dissatisfaction, pride, confusion, etc., and find the heart of the King.

SECONDARY – BUT IMPORTANT OBSERVATIONS

TRIBES, TONGUES, NATIONS – NOT DENOMINATIONS: That which the Lord is doing requires the flanking together of the Church. There is greater emphasis on unity among tribes, tongues, and nations rather than denominations. While denominational unity is important, God is summoning His people to grab hands across cultural and racial lines. This is a sign that we are coming close to the ending of the age. From out of EVERY TRIBE, TONGUE, and NATION people gather around His throne. (Rev. 7:9) This is an “on earth as it is in Heaven call” and will be a powerful testimony of the King in the face of racial disunity. This word is not about having a congregation with members that are from various backgrounds, though that is marvelous. It is about crossing cultural lines within geographic areas where there are congregations considered Black, Latino, White, Native, Asian, etc.

AFRICAN AMERICAN GRANDMOTHERS! You are vital to this next move of God. There is a specific call to African American grandmothers in the place of intercession. Especially those that have cried out in the night hours in the inner cities. God hears! Through your prayers, Abba will release greater boldness to get the work of the Kingdom completed. You are a strong backbone to those on the front-lines right now. Pray grandmothers…. BE AWAKENED, BE STRENGTHENED AND PRAY! WE NEED YOU!

MOVE BEYOND TALKING ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER AND PRAY: It is time to stop talking about the importance of prayer and stirring up passion to pray. It is time to PRAY! Many have “left the meeting” as it were because many intercessory prayer times have been more about talking and less about praying, and when we do pray the prayers are so broad-based no one would be able to recognize an answer. The looping video is about romancing the call to prayer – but never really interceding. Droning generalized prayers will cause intercessors to leave the room. It is a season for SPECIFICS born out of the leadership of Jesus. This is what will release authority from heaven, and our joy will be seeing the hand of God working in our midst. He will be glorified and we will become more and more energized for His Kingdom work.

NOTE: February 10, 2018, the Lord told me that He was raising up intercessors so mighty that they will pale the likes of Rees Howells and Daniel Nash. Their hearts will be tender and they will not desire to pray their own will. It is these that will see strategies from heaven – and what they pray WILL occur. I believe this dream encounter was a reinforcement of this word.

GEOGRAPHIC UNITY – CITY BY CITY/COUNTY BY COUNTY is key. Large networks are awesome, but the stewardship of a territory belongs to those who live there. In my encounter, it was about Richmond, Virginia and the people in the seats had been called there from the nations to join with those that have been born and raised there. God was using this as an example to me, but it is for other locations to understand Acts 17:26-27 call to steward the boundaries within which He has called us to live.

“From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.” Acts 17:26-27

THERE IS A CALL TO MANY THAT HAVE LAID THEIR “MIC” DOWN: There are those called to RALLY the troops that have laid down for various reasons. Discouragement, life’s responsibilities, exhaustion, births, deaths, etc. etc. WAKE UP AND PICK UP YOUR MIC! Get prayer from others! As you pick up that which God has given you, HE will restore that which He has called you to.

WE ARE ALL CALLED TO INTERCEDE: One of the greatest errors made over the last few decades is the acceptance that intercession is for a specialized group. Where God DOES call some to intercede more frequently than others, many have used the opportunity to let the intercessor do the prayer thing while the big girls and boys do the ministry thing. However, THOSE CALLED TO THE PLATFORM NEED TO BE IN THEIR PRAYER CLOSET AND IN THE PRAYER ROOM WITH THE PEOPLE. There is no shortcut to this next wave and the greatest among us are people of intense prayer. This next wave rests of the backbone of intercessory prayer.

The Puddles Shall Become A Stream

I have not done a blog post in some time. The blog-o-sphere is overrun and without a whole lot of bells and whistles, many blogs go unread. It is easier to do a v-log (video-log ).

This morning, however, while still in my jammies, I had a very distinct impression from the Lord that I wanted to communicate quickly. A v-log was out of the question, let the reader understand.

The Puddles Shall Become A Stream

This past Friday night we held our first “First Friday” gathering for the community surrounding our house of prayer. Earlier in the day, our staff had profound encounters with the Lord to the degree that, by the time the evening meeting came, many were still “under” the weighty Presence of God. And this bled into our gathering. I will not go into the details of the night, that is not the point of this blog. However, I will say that in the Spirit I felt a distinct shift. Not for us only, but for the community in the RVA (Richmond, Virginia) area. It may be beyond these boundaries, I am not sure, but I do know it was for the our region. Something changed…

This morning during breakfast I saw in the Spirit puddles of God’s Presence. They were representative of various churches and gatherings of those who have been seeking the God of “The More”. These are those that God has sent a spirit of divine dissatisfaction to in order to produce a groan so deep that the desire for other things would fade into oblivion. Nothing became more important than to Host His Presence. Titles, self importance, our need to “move things along”, to make a name for ourselves, ALL the idols of our hearts fell down and the ground, once covered with “all of us” became dry as the need for “all of Him” became clear. I then saw the rain of His Spirit falling on these hungry groups which were in various locations throughout the area. They encountered unusual manifestations of the Spirit AS the hunger level rose and puddles were created. I then heard the Lord say —

“The puddles shall become a stream”

I saw the puddles in each of these places begin to rise to the point that they connected with one another and the water of His Presence kept coming until the puddles which linked together became a rushing stream. I then heard the Lord say:

“the term ‘come to this meeting or that meeting to experience the glory’ will become a thing of the past – Larger city meetings will become the OVERFLOW of what I am doing in the region as the puddles become a stream”

This will be the manifestation of the “nameless and faceless” because the LORD OF HOSTS will move and it will not be about the name of this person or that person or this ministry or that because Jesus shall be lifted up in that hour. ——-

DIVINE DISSATISFACTION

Friends, we are still very much in the beginning phases of this. There is a divine dissatisfaction being poured out. Do not mistake it for something to be delivered from or something to manage or ignore, Let the groan inside lead you to the All Sufficient One. In this lies the key to His rising in our lives and in our communities. He ALWAYS pours out on the dry and thirsty ground.

So, let us seize the day by yielding to the deep stirring. Allow the dryness to take its course. He will come.

May the Lord of All Glory come swiftly,

Egypt, Assyria (Mid-East) and Israel

In January 2015 the Lord opened my eyes to His wondrous activity in the Middle East, specifically Egypt, Iraq, Turkey, Syria and Israel. Scripture in many ways is being fulfilled right before our eyes. This month we are hosting, Doug Hershey, longtime friend, author, adventurer, and one of the most prolific teachers I know. He will be sharing on the biblical perspective of Building Up the Isaiah 19 highway, described in Isaiah 19:21-25. What is it? How should we respond?

In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians. In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria—a blessing in the midst of the land, whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.” ISAIAH 19:21-25 (NKJV)

In 2015 the Lord revealed to me that there would be a bridge to this Highway from Richmond and that we would have a reflection of that Highway in our city. It is beginning to unfold! This seminar is for the curious, for the serious, for the prophetic, the intercessor and all who want to be part of the unfolding of history before the return of our King!

I will share a brief update on Egypt from my recent trips along with details of upcoming trip, with a team, in June!

The Sound of Richmond Shall Rise!

shutterstock_370761515 And the Lord would say, I am once again releasing a sound into Richmond that will rise and will become a trumpet blast. I am releasing the singers and musicians and putting a greater grace to produce songs and hymns and spiritual songs. I am doing this to such a degree that it will capture the attention of the city and YES, even the nation. As I have said before, I NOW say again, Richmond will be known for its music. It will cause the heads of many to turn and say “can anything good come out of Richmond?” But they will not be able to deny that I, the Lord, have done this. But This is a new day and I am moving in a new way. There are those that are breaking ranks with the old and coming into the new. The songs will be songs of worship, of declaration of the Kingdom and the wooing of the harvest. There will be songs that bring deliverance to my people and songs that will bring deliverance to those that do not yet believe.

And further, as I have declared before, there will be a highway between Richmond and Nashville and that highway will release creativity in the arts, in the prophetic and in music. This highway will become a highway of holiness and the mark of those things that are released will be that that will declare my Kingdom and bring glory to MY NAME. This highway will be wide and even now I have flanked the host of heaven along this highway. The areas in between Richmond and Nashville will experienced a heightened sense of my manifest Presence and the stuck will become unstuck. The held back will be released and the bound will become free as the saints of God line up with me. As you step in, my people will no longer be self-consumed, but will be consumed by the zeal of the Lord. It will break off the orphan spirit, isolation and depression. As you line up with Me and my purposes and release the creativity and the songs, not only will I bring FREEDOM to those around you, but YOU shall also be free.

This is what the Sovereign LORD has spoken. Hear the Word of the Lord. Yield and step in!

Grace For Completion – A Call to the Generations

In 2005, Matthew and I were invited to speak at a conference in Williamsburg, Virginia. There was great emphasis on the particular uniqueness and calling of Williamsburg which was laid out by the conference host. We understood callings on cities, communities and nations, so this was not new to us. We were happy to listen and honored to be among the other notable speakers, most of whom we had great respect.

As was our custom, Matthew and I often presented together unless the Holy Spirit singled one of us out to share the message. On this particular occasion, we had prepared together and we were preparing our hearts in the midst of worship. My attention was drawn to one of the musicians and the unique instrument he was playing. It was a long, slender, white flute type instrument. The sound it created was hauntingly beautiful and I could sense the Lord’s pleasure as he played. Suddenly, the atmosphere shifted and the room became electrified. I immediately knew that the Ancient of Days had stepped into the room.

Now, the Lord has met me in various ways over the years. When I experienced salvation, He revealed Himself as Savior and Lord. He also manifest Himself over the years as Healer, Redeemer, Deliverer, Strong Tower, Refuge, and Lover of My Soul, to name a few. This, however, was the FIRST TIME I encountered Him as the Ancient of Days. I was literally stunned in His Presence. As I stood there in complete and total awe, I heard words, faint at first, and then they grew louder. The Ancient of Days was speaking. He said, “Before…before…before…” In my mind I questioned, “Before what?” He immediately said, “Before the Foundation of the World, I AM!”

Immediately, I was thrust into a vision. I saw the Spirit of the Lord hovering over the face of the deep as the earth was formed, a timeless place. At the Word of the Ancient of Days, the uncreated God that has no beginning or end, TIME WAS FORMED. Holy Spirit then proceeded to “fly” over various time periods which I understood by faint images. Adam and Eve, Seth, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Israel, Joseph, Egypt, Moses, David, the Prophets, Jesus, and so on. Holy Spirit was not only moving over the times recorded in the bible, but time periods across the earth. I saw the formation of nations, empires that had risen and fallen and Holy Spirit was scooping things up into His bosom, from the four corners of the earth through all generations since Adam. He continued all the way up to the current time and stood before me in the room. I have to admit, destinies over cities seemed small by comparison, though I understood in Him they have significance.

I asked the Lord what the Spirit had gathered. He said:

I HAVE GATHERED THE INTENTIONS OF MY HEART THROUGHOUT THE GENERATIONS. THOSE THINGS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN FULFILLED. I AM PLACING THEM IN THIS GENERATION TO TAKE ACROSS THE FINISH LINE. NOT ONE THING I HAVE SPOKEN WILL FAIL TO COME TO PASS! I AM THE LORD!

I then saw His hand on tribes, tongues and nations. I saw His hand on bloodlines, ancestors in family lines that had encountered the King of Glory, those to who He had His hand upon. Many had not completed the task given to them. Many peoples have experienced injustice and many of the same, at one time or another, treated others unjustly. I understood that the desire for people to understand lineage and past history was more than just curiosity or to find that “castle that is ours from the old country!”. There was and is DIVINE DESIGN on it. There is history that needs to be acknowledged. Both holy and unholy, righteous and unrighteous. The PURPOSE for all of this is not so we can be GREAT in the eyes of man or try to one up one another with our famous ancestors (some we would most likely hide). It is to DECLARE THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD THROUGHOUT ALL GENERATIONS AND TO MAKE AN OPEN SHOW TO THE ADVERSARY DECLARING THE GREATNESS OF OUR GOD.

NOTE: TO ALL WHO DO NOT KNOW THEIR HERITAGE… FOLLOW THE LAMB, YOU ARE PROBABLY FULFILLING IT NOW WHETHER YOU KNOW IT OR NOT. ALL WILL BE REVEALED AT HIS COMING! FRET NOT. SOME OF US KNOW TO PROVE A POINT REGARDING THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD.

So, to the reason for this post. I share this encounter because we are at the eve of the Jewish New Year 5777. When I looked at the numbers (and I am not a numbers person) I was immediately reminded of the encounter with the Ancient of Days in 2005. I heard the Lord say, THIS YEAR THERE IS GRACE FOR COMPLETION. (5 is the number of grace, 7 is completion — I am sure that there are numbers people out there that would find other meanings…but this is what was shared with me).

This DOES NOT MEAN that ALL THINGS BEFORE THE LORDS RETURN WILL BE FULFILLED in 5777 (though He will accomplish ALL THINGS before Jesus returns to the planet), but it does mean that there are many things God has spoken to His people, some odd and unusual things, which WILL BE fulfilled and completed in this next year and they must be. It may look impossible to some reading this…but…there is GREAT GRACE FOR YOU TO COMPLETE THE TASK. By 5778 a season on the earth will be ushered in and I understand by the Spirit of the Lord that:

NATIONS WILL DECIDEDLY BEGIN TO RELATE DIFFERENTLY AS THE CLIMATE IN THE NATIONS WILL NECESSITATE CHANGE!

AND THE MIDDLE EAST WILL BECOME MORE AND MORE THE CENTER OF THE WORLD’S ATTENTION AS THE DAY OF THE LORD APPROACHES

The year 5777 will determine if the “lines will fall in pleasant places” or not for various countries and nation states. The shift will be apparent. Not small. We will see alignments that we never thought we would see in our lifetime, while others will break ranks. It is all part of God’s set up to fulfill all that He has spoken.

In the midst of all of this, there are things each of us must complete. Things we must do. Doors we must walk into and gateways we must pass through. It is not a time to be afraid, laid back, or put things off for another day. We must be about the Father’s business.

My word of encouragement to you as we step into 5777 is:

WHATEVER HE SAYS DO IT

THERE IS GRACE TO COMPLETE THE TASK

5777 WILL BE A YEAR THAT WE WILL SEE A GREATER MEASURE OF THE MANIFOLD WISDOM OF GOD BEING DISPLAYED, THROUGH THE CHURCH, TO RULERS AND AUTHORITIES IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS (Ephesians 3:10)

IF HE SAID IT, HE WILL DO IT. HE IS JUST LOOKING FOR SOMEONE IN THE GENERATION TO SAY YES.

HE USES PEOPLE TO ACCOMPLISH HIS WILL-THIS MEANS YOU!

FOLLOW THE LAMB!
